The Investment Strategies Program is an in-school learning opportunity, consisting of interactive and online activities that explores all the ways in which we can invest and an online stock market simulation, called Invest JA. It is made available to students through the cooperative efforts of businesses and schools.
The Investment Strategies Program is one of a series of programs offered by Junior Achievement of Canada.
The Investment Strategies Program (ISP) can bring financial literacy to Canadian classrooms in one of two interactive ways:
- ISP Connect where a business consultant from the community (recruited and trained by JA) works with the class to deliver the hands-on financial literacy program. The volunteer will then coach students in the Invest JA stock market simulation.
- ISP Virtual where the teacher is given a suite of four financial literacy lessons, along with clips of a "virtual classroom volunteer" walking the class through the activities. This will include all the tools needed to coach students in the Invest JA stock market simulation.
